Dive into the dynamic world of narrative & hip hop musical improv in this high-energy, creativity-fueled course! You’ll learn the core building blocks of musical storytelling—from song structure and character motivation to emotional arc. Explore the fundamentals of hip hop improv, including rhythm, flow, rhyme, and freestyle techniques. We'll also delve into theatrical genres, giving you tools to intentionally shape scenes using the distinct styles and tropes of musical theatre. In this course not only will we ask how we can “land the plane” by opening ourselves to different choices and embracing the unknown, we’ll be blending the lyrical beauty of hip-hop and the razzle-dazzle of musical theatre.
*Our musical improv courses are slightly more expensive than our regular programming because they are lead by two staff members simultaneously. The course will have 2 accompanists: Håvard Enstad & Ayaka Kinugawa

This 90€ payment is the non-refundable deposit for your course. The remaining payment is 200€ is due on the first day of class, or 4 instalments throughout the term (by previous arrangement with the school). Our workshops are for 18+ only.
Every student pays the same tuition regardless of attendance. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations or drop-outs, so please consider carefully before booking.
Signing up is a commitment to taking the course and there are no make up classes. Please inform the teacher if you are unable to attend a class or are arriving late.
