About the Course

Scenework Gym is a 4-week course for beginner and intermediate level improvisers to level-up their scene skills. It’s a perfect course for those finishing Foundations 2 mid term, waiting to start a Tier 2 or 3 course, or with only 4 weeks to dedicate.

We’ll work on scene structure, build characters, play from emotion, and explore a variety of exercises from the BIG Tier 2 & 3 curriculum.

• Need some reps? – This weekly class is the perfect combination to attending jams and Sunday drop in workshops

• Want to get down to basics? – The course provides you with the building blocks of a great improv scene, from listening & responding, to heightening and ending your scenes strong.

• Overwhelmed by all the options? – This course will focus mainly on 2-person scenes, exploring the power of our partner, and finding everything we need in what’s right in front of us.

Important Information

• To respect everyone’s time, we ask everyone to arrive between 5-15 minutes early so that the class may start on time. The doors will be locked at 5:30pm sharp so that the teachers can begin the class. At 6:00pm the doors will open once more, for anyone who has arrived late. Arrival after 6:00pm means you will have to miss the class, except in exceptional circumstances by previous arrangement.

• Full payment is due upon booking. Every student pays the same tuition regardless of attendance. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations or drop-outs, so please consider carefully before booking.

• Signing up is a commitment to taking the course and there are no make up classes. Please inform the teacher if you are unable to attend a class or are arriving late.

• Didn’t register in time? Don’t fret, just email us to join our waiting list and you will be notified of any spots open. If enough people join the waiting list, a second class may be offered.
