Starting September 20th, 2017B.I.G. School of Improv will be offering the following class. If you wish to take it, please read the class dates and reserve your space in the course.

Foundations of Improvisation is designed for students who are curious about improv comedy and theatre, and those looking to improve their improvisation skills. Improv is also great for those looking to meet people in a fun environment, to improve their confidence, public speaking skills, ability to work in a team effectively, and to create a more positive outlook on life. Build comfort and confidence to act and create in front of a live audience. Learn the building blocks to fabricate entire worlds from a kernel of an idea. Amaze your friends as you present complete, fun scenes off the top of your head, with stories and characters of your own creation. No experience required. A final performance will take place at the end of the course.

This is a special 10-week course, taught by BIG instructor Jeremie Day Glider, designed to cover all the essential aspects of Improv,  increasing the creative challenge in pace with your growing ability and experience.

BIG Instructor Jeremie Day Glider

      • Shy – Improv can help you to overcome stage fright, and is great training for public speaking and self-confidence in professional and social environments.

      • Want to be an actor? – Improv teaches you how to inhabit a character and react realistically on stage. It’s a perfect space to try out new things with and in front of other performers and to learn what tools work best for you, in the moment, as a performer.

      • Already love acting but want to learn more? – Many auditions for theatre or film will call for the actor to improvise or make speedy character choices. Add these skills to your repertoire.

      • Want to have fun and meet new people? – More than anything else, Improv is a laugh. People come back to take part week after week because they get to play games and express themselves in a fun environment. If you’re new to Barcelona, it’s a great place to meet like-minded English speakers.

Price and Class Size

Foundations of Improvisation costs 200€ if you choose to pay in installments, or 175€ if you pay in full by the first class. A deposit is required to complete your registration.

We’re keeping the class size small so that everyone has the maximum opportunity to perform, practice, and get personal feedback with the teacher – the maximum class size is 12. With such limited spaces, it’s a good idea to sign up below as soon as possible or inquire about availability.

If you sign up, that means that you are committed to take all 10 classes. Please inform the teacher if you will be unable to attend a class or if you are coming late. There are no make up classes. If you are paying via a payment plan, you need to bring cash to pay in installments at the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th classes. We do not pro-rate classes. Every student pays the same tuition regardless of attendance.
