Register Now

Starting on Tuesday, September 19th, BIG SI will be offering the following class. Students must have completed the Foundations of Improvisation course here or elsewhere, and if not, must audition for the course. If you wish to take it, please read the class dates and reserve your space.

Do you find it hard to access different characters? Do you find yourself playing the same characters over and over again? In Character: Be Somebody, we will learn tools to quickly choose and embody a variety of complex characters and maintain them throughout our scenes. This 10-week course will delve deeply into the many ways to access character, how to utilize them in a scene with others, and give you the time and space to practice making strong choices and sticking to them.

BIG Instructor Jeremie Day Glider

This is a new 10-week course, taught by BIG SI instructor Jeremie Day Glider, helping students perfect the Who of their improv scenes.

  • Enjoy playing as characters – Be more than just yourself on stage

  • Find your best route to a new character – And leap into scenes!

  • Observe the world around you and use it – Enhance your sense of awareness on and off stage

  • Enhance the scene – Find characters that fit into the world your team creates

Price and Class Size

Character: Be Somebody costs 200€ if you choose to pay in installments, or 175€ if you pay in full at the first class. You must register for the course on Eventbrite to guarantee your place.

We’re keeping the class size small so that everyone has the maximum opportunity to perform, practice, and get personal feedback with the teacher – the maximum class size is 12. With such limited spaces, it’s a good idea to register now or get in touch with us if you have questions.

If you sign up, that means that you are committed to take all 10 classes. Please inform the teacher if you will be unable to attend a class or if you are coming late. There are no make up classes. If you are paying via a payment plan, you need to bring cash to pay in installments at the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th classes
