Barcelona Improv Group performs monthly English-language improvised theatre and comedy shows in Barcelona. Shout out your audience suggestions as we play an array of new improv comedy games and old favorites plus longform improvisation with longer, deeper scenes.  Every month, we turn Tinta Roja into Barcelona’s best comedy club and theatre.

Like us on Facebook for up-to-date information, discounts, and details about the next BIG show.

No reservations necessary, but we recommend arriving at 8:30 to guarantee that you have a seat.

(we sell out most shows)

Every show is at 20:30 at Tinta Roja, Carrer Creu dels Molers, 17 (map)

There is a bar at the venue if you’d like to get drinks before the show, or during the interval and you get 15% off all drinks by showing your sticker!

FAQ:

If I sit in the front row, will I be brought up on stage and embarrassed?

Absolutely not! Sometimes the improv players will as for audience participation and we go out of our way to make sure that the person has fun with us. Usually we just want you to give a suggestion to start a scene or share a story that will inspire the improv.

Is this show appropriate for children?

Everyone is free to determine what is appropriate for their own children. Because the shows are unscripted, we won’t know if there will be any characters (or audience members) who curse or have unseemly behavior. We do aim to perform our shows at the top of our intelligence and avoid crude humor and easy jokes.

Are there reduced priced tickets for children, seniors, or students?

We do not have any reduced prices at the door, however, we regularly have free ticket contests through our Facebook page. Students taking our improv classes will receive a discount for all shows they attend. We do charge admission for all children, no matter how young, no matter if they are a babe in a lap. If your child will be unable to sit quietly for a 2 hour show (with intermission), we recommend leaving the child in the care of a baby-sitter.

Do I need a high level of English to attend?

We aim to perform shows that are accessible to all levels of English speakers through clear, full characters. Obviously, a higher level of English will allow you to appreciate more of the show, but we have many guests every month who have fun improving their English by watching our shows and pick up more and more each time.
